40th SketchCrawl in Hagen (Freilichtmuseum LWL)

On July 13th the 40th Worlwide SketchCrawl took place (general information here), and our small group of NRW-sketchers decided to visit the outdoor museum in Hagen... the group was very nice and so was the weather and we enjoyed drawing outside for a few horus, exchanging thoughts, experiences and ideas about sketching and whatnot with each other.

Below you will find some of the sketches I made... as you might already have noticed I prefer drawing people, which is why there is not much of the nice location visible ;)

Am 13. Juli fand der 40ste Worldwide SketchCrawl statt (generelle Informationen dazu hier), und unsere kleine NRW-Gruppe entschied sich an dem Tag für das Freilichtmuseum Hagen... die Gruppe war mal wieder sehr nett, genau wie das Wetter und wir haben es sehr genossen, ein Paar Stunden zu zeichnen und Gedanken, Erfahrungen und Ideen zum Thema Zeichnen (und diversen anderen Themen) miteinander auszutauschen.

Hier unten findet ihr einen Auszug aus meinen Skizzen... wie ihr vllt schon mal bemerkt habt zeichne ich am liebsten Menschen... deswegen sieht man hier nicht sehr viel vom Museum ;)

Und hier findet ihr die Werke, die die Zeichner vom Rest der Welt am gleichen Tag gemacht haben. 

Der nächste SketchCrawl wird wahrscheinlich im Oktober stattfinden und wir freuen uns immer über neue Zeichen-Begeisterte die sich uns anschliessen wollen!

39th SketchCrawl in Essen (Zeche Zollverein)

On saturday, April 13th, the 39th worlwide SketchCrawl took place (if you can`t remember at the moment what the hell that is: you can read about it here): 
We were 8 sketchers with different backgrounds and experiences concerning the art of sketching, which is always very exciting and most of the time works out very well. We spent the whole day at the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, which turned out to be an awesome place for sketching (and in general!), because apart from having an incredibly huge area of industrial architecture and relicts it offers not only diverse motives in the outer area but also has a variety of possibilities of inside motives, for example when visiting the Ruhrmuseum (this is were the sketches of the skeleton, the helmet and the stuffed bird were made, in case you`re wondering).

Am Samstag den 13. April fand der 39ste "worldwide SketchCrawl" statt (wenn ihr euch gerade nicht mehr dran erinnern könnt was zum Teufel das nochmal war: das könnt ihr nochmal hier nachlesen): 
Wir waren 8 Leute, alle mit ganz unterschiedlichem Hintergrund was Zeichnen/Kunst angeht, was sehr spannend war und meistens sehr gut funktioniert. Wir haben den ganzen Tag in der Zeche Zollverein Essen verbracht, was sich als tolle Lokalität zum zeichnen (und auch generell) rausgestellt hat, denn abgesehen von dem unglaublich großen Gelände mit industrieller Architektur und Machinerie bietet es nicht nur diverse Motive im Aussenbereich, sondern hat auch eine große Auswahl an Möglichkeiten im Innenbereich, z.B. im Ruhrmuseum (hier sind die SKizzen vom Skelett, dem Helm und dem ausgestopften Vogel enstanden, falls ihr euch darüber wundert).

38th SketchCrawl in Cologne/Köln

As you know last Saturday (January 19th) the 38th SketchCrawl took place, and I had the opportunity to participate for the first time. Although it was incredibly cold outside we wanted to sketch in the Zoo in Cologne, knowing that there are several animal "houses" were we could  draw inside (you can`t draw when you are shaking!)... we were 5 Sketchers, only one of us came from Cologne, the others had to travel there. We were all quite different people but got along very well. The whole day long we sketched animals, plants and so on, and one thing became very obvious to us: calm animals are a much "better" motive than hyper active animals ^^ But practice makes perfect and we all decided to definitely participate in the next SketchCrawl, which takes place in three months.

Wie schon angekündigt fand letzten Samstag (am 19.01.) der 38te SketchCrawl statt, an dem ich zum ersten Mal teilgenommen habe. Trotz eisiger Kälte wollten wir gerne in den Kölner Zoo gehen, mit dem Wissen dass es dort auch viele Tier-"Häuser" gibt in denen man zeichnen kann, (wenn mann zittert kann man nicht zeichnen!)... wir waren zu fünft, nur einer aus Köln, alle anderen waren angereist, alle sehr unterschiedliche Menschen, haben uns aber gut verstanden. Wir haben den ganzen Tag diverse Tiere, Pflanzen u.s.w. gezeichnet und dabei vor allem eins bemerkt: chillige Tiere sind "bessere" Motive als hyperaktive Tiere ^^ Aber: Übung macht den Meister und wir haben uns auf jeden Fall alle entschlossen beim nächsten SketchCrawl wieder mit von der Partie zu sein.
