POP-UP STORE TOYKIO X NRW FORUM

On January 27th the first ”Pop-Up Store TOYKIO X NRW Forum” will be opened! For one month the beautiful NRW forum in Düsseldorf will show designer vinyl toys and artworks with the focus on photography and street art.
The widely popular series of munnyworld is the main part of the toy assortment that can be bought, which is the sweet, white little vinyl doll that exists in a variety of shapes and sizes and is there to be drawn on, painted on or dressed. This toy has already become a cult object in the DIY-sector and has been refined by many well-known artists and designers.

On the opening day the NRW forum and 7 artists and designers, for example the street artists Flying Förtress and the designer Max Fiedler, will invite everyone to a free workshop, where life customizing will take place with some background music of DJ Rafik.

TOYKIO, by the way, is a concept which has been established in 2011 in the Japanese quarter of Düsseldorf: being a combination of store, gallery and cafe, this multicoloured Shop at the corner of Immermannstreet/Oststreet is a real eye-catcher and totally worth a visit.

So: shop til you drop!!! ;-)

Am 27. Januar wird der erste „Pop-Up Store TOYKIO X NRW Forum“ eröffnet! Einen Monat lang werden hier im schönen NRW Forum in Düsseldorf Designer-Vinyltoys und Kunst mit dem Schwerpunkt Fotografie und Streetart gezeigt.
Bei den Toys stehen die allseits beliebten Serien von Munnyworld im Mittelpunkt, das sind die süßen, weißen Männchen aus Vinyl, die es in verschiedenen Größen gibt und an denen man sich kreativ austoben kann/soll/darf. Die Figur ist mittlerweile zum Kultobjekt im Bereich DIY geworden und wurde schon von zahlreichen namhaften Künstlern und Designern veredelt.

Am Eröffnungstag lädt das NRW Forum zusammen mit 7 Künstlern und Designern, unter anderem dem Streetartkünstler Flying Förtress und dem Designer Max Fiedler zum kostenlosen workshop ein, bei dem ein Life-customizing mit musikalischer Untermalung von DJ Rafik stattfindet.

TOYKIO ist übrigens ein Konzept dass es seit 2011 im Japan-Viertel in Düsseldorf gibt: als eine Mischung aus Store, Galerie und Cafe ist dieser kunterbunte Laden auf der Ecke Immermannstraße/Oststraße ein richtiger Hingucker und einen Besuch wert.

Also: shoppen bis zum Umfallen!!! ;-)
