The art genre „URBAN ART“ (I write it in capital letters ;-)) was long frowned upon by many ignorants, now it crawls out from its shadowy existence.... and for a few years now it has started to enthuse even the commercial public more and more .
And now finally Cologne has also decided to celebrate Urban Art:
The collaboration of the two charitable art organisations “artrmx” and “colorrevolution” gives 40 international major figures of the scene the opportunity to present their genre.
And totally authentically it draws its audience not only to one certain gallery to enjoy the art but spreads it all over the city to visit various locations (inner and outer areas): within three weeks you can visit different points of the city to marvel at special graffities, visit exhibitions and live-painting sessions of underground artists, take part in workshops.... and afterwards recharge from all the impressions at parties or concerts, which are hosted during the „CityLeaks Festival“.

Das bisher oft von Ignoranten verpönte Kunstgenre „URBAN ART“ (wird bei mir GROß geschrieben ;-)) kommt langsam aus seinem Schattendasein hervorgekrochen... und begeistert seit nunmehr einigen wenigen Jahren immer mehr auch das kommerzielle Publikum.
Und jetzt wird endlich auch mal in Köln die Urban Art zelebriert:
Vom 05.-25. September findet hier zum erstem mal das Urban-Art-Festival „CityLeaks“ statt!!!
Dank der Kollaboration zweier gemeinnütziger Kunstvereine („artrmx“ und „colorrevolution“) können 40 internationale Größen der Szene erstmals offiziell in Köln ihr Metier präsentieren.
Und ganz stilgerecht zieht es sein Publikum nicht in eine bestimmte Galerie zum Kunst-genießen, sondern verteilt sich in der ganzen Stadt in unterschiedlichsten Locations (in Außen- und Innenbereichen): über die 3 Wochen verteilt kann man an verschiedenen Stationen der Stadt besondere Graffities bewundern, Ausstellungen und live-paintings von Underground-Künstlern besuchen, an Workshops teilnehmen... und sich anschließend von der ganzen Guckerei auf Parties oder Konzerten erholen, die im Rahmen des „CityLeaks-Festivals“ veranstaltet werden.
